IITs ( Indian Institute Of Technology )

 The Indian Institute of Technology(IITs) is among the best institutes for engineering in India. IITs are autonomous institutes. The government of India officially declared it the ‘Institutes of National Importance’ in 1961. There are 23 IITs colleges across India. To get admitted to IITs, thousands or you can say lakhs of students appear every year in JEE Main and JEE Advanced but only those students get shortlisted who scored high in exams. 

 The National Institute of Technology(NITs) are owned by the Ministry of Education Government of India. It means NITs are central government-owned-public technical institutes. This autonomous institute is governed by the National Institute of Technology, Science Education and Research act,2007. Like IITs, NITs are also declared as ‘Institute of National importance by the Government of India. There are 31 NITs across the country. To get enrolled in these top-ranked NITs, students need to work hard. 

 All India institutes of medical sciences fall under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. AIIMS is a group of autonomous government public medical universities of higher education. Students have to qualify for the entrance exams conducted by AIIMS or NEET exams with high scores to get into AIIMS. By the parliament act of India as an institution of national importance. 

 Birla institute of technology and science is a privately owned premier institute in the field of science and technology. This deemed university considers higher education and research in science and engineering. With many R&D centres across the country, BITS Pilani also works with many government and private industries and provides consultancy. It conducts its online entrance test every year in March/April which is called BITSAT. 

 The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, founded in 1909 by Jamsetji Tata, is India’s premier public research university known for excellence in science, engineering, and technology. Renowned for cutting-edge research, world-class faculty, and collaborations with organizations like ISRO and DRDO, IISc offers highly competitive undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across engineering, sciences, and emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and sustainability. 

People call the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISERs), IITs of science students because it provides quality education as well as better placements. It provides research facilities so that researchers can contribute to scientific progress in India. IISERs fall under the Ministry of Human Resource Development(MHRD) Government of India. Currently, there are 7 IISERs in India.
